Begin with the work, then choose the partner
Assess the technical capability, local presence and operational systems the project needs. Compare potential NGO partners through the directory and review the evidence relevant to this particular engagement.
Separate directory visibility from project approval
A listed or district-reviewed profile is a useful starting point for discussions. Your company should complete its own project-specific legal, financial and organizational due diligence using the applicable requirements and current official guidance.
Put the arrangement in writing
Define scope, budget, timeline, purchasing and delivery responsibilities, reporting, safeguarding, evidence access and handover. A vendor supplying a product or service has a different role from an implementing agency; record the actual responsibilities.
